NCISD Celebrates New Caney Elementary Ribbon Cutting

On August 17, New Caney ISD celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new New Caney Elementary. A beautiful new beginning for a school with a long and meaningful history in our community.
As we recently closed the doors of the original New Caney Elementary, we also opened a new chapter for generations of students, families and educators who will continue to call New Caney Elementary home.
Thank you to the New Caney ISD Board of Trustees, Superintendent Matt Calvert, Principal Raquel Sessa, and everyone who helped make this special celebration possible. We are especially grateful to our student speakers, Stella Rudolph, who gave the invocation, and Emersyn Tharp, who led the Pledges.
And a very special thank-you to the parents and community members who helped make the celebration so memorable. We are incredibly grateful to Praise and Pop Balloons and Events for donating the amazing balloon arrangements that helped transform the celebration.
The building may be new, but the New Caney Elementary spirit and tradition continue. Here’s to a new chapter!
